Battlefords River Valley Trails
The North Shore Trail starts at the observation tower located adjacent to the Battlefords Goose Project. In the winter, a cross country ski trail can be accessed from Poundmaker Trail near the pedestrian bridge leading to Finlayson Island. The Trail System is available on Trailforks.
The trail runs along the northern shore of the North Saskatchewan River to two kilometres beyond the F.E. Holiday Water Treatment Plant, heading east. You can also see where the North Saskatchewan and Battle Rivers converge along the trail.
Trails are groomed in winter for cross country skiing and mowed in the summer for walking. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail system. The trails east of Finlayson Island pedestrian bridge offer a challenging mountain biking experience.
