Free Skating Sessions

Skating activities are not supervised or staffed. All children must be with an adult. Helmets are recommended for public skating and mandatory for shinny.

• Public Skating -  Time: 1 to 2:15 p.m. at the Access Communications Centre
• Family Shinny - Time: 2:30 to 3:45 p.m.at the Access Communications Centre

Art Activities:

All art activities are free and suitable for all ages. Children under the age of 8 require an adult helper.

• Suncatchers - Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., Location: Don Ross Community Centre Craft Room, Cost: free
• Book Reading with Illustrator Azby Whitecalf - Learn to Draw/Paint a Buffalo, Time: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Location: Don Ross Centre Craft Room, Cost: free

Star Stories

• Visit astronomer Patricia Gakis and learn about the stars in the winter sky. Hot chocolate and a snack will be served. Time: 7 to 8:30 p.m. at The Chapel Gallery, Cost: free

Neon Glow Night

• Join at the Senator Jenny Spyglass Outdoor rink; dress in your brightest colours. Glow Art Activities will be available. Time: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Senator Jenny Spyglass Outdoor Rink and Access Communication Centre, Cost: free – Suitable for all ages.

• Followed by a Bird Feeder Activity and Hot Chocolate Snack at The Chapel Gallery. Time:
  • 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.: Nature Hike at Finlayson Island – Trail Head West Side
  • 2:45 to 4:00 p.m.: Craft Activity and Snack at The Chapel Gallery, Cost: free
