Accessibility Committee
Purpose
We want a city where every resident and visitor can use municipal buildings, programs, and services without any barriers. This plan shows how we will improve accessibility, decide which projects are most important, and fit them into future budgets.
Guiding Principles
- Equity and Inclusion: Everyone, no matter their ability, should have equal access.
- Community Engagement: Recommendations are based on input from many voices, especially people with lived experience.
- Transparency: Clear reporting on progress and budget impacts.
- Alignment: Work aligns with the city’s strategic pillars such as Community Well‑being and Infrastructure Renewal.
- Self‑Determination: People with disabilities help shape the solutions.
- Universal Design: Environments and services should be usable by all.

- Each identified project will include: Estimated cost; Accessibility impact score; Alignment with strategic pillars.
