Security Cameras
We are taking a proactive approach to better protect our residents and visitors by installing public outdoor surveillance cameras. Signage is clearly posted in the areas where these cameras are located.
Our policy for this program has been developed based on the Video Surveillance Guidelines for the Public Sector from the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner, and in accordance with the Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

If you have security cameras at your home or at your business, you can register the location of your outdoor security cameras to help law enforcement have more "eyes" on the streets.
Outdoor security camera assistance program
We are pleased to offer assistance through our Outdoor Security Camera Assistance Program, designed to reimburse individuals who have purchased a new security camera system.
