Security camera registry

If you have security cameras at your home or at your business, you can register the location of your outdoor security cameras to help law enforcement have more "eyes" on the streets. The City's Security Camera Registry is administered by Battlefords Citizens on Patrol.

  • All registration information is confidential.

  • No one gains access to your security system and footage will not be viewed without your permission.

If an incident happens in your area, the RCMP or Community Safety Officers may contact you to review footage from your cameras. They will ask to review the security video from that date and time. More eyes on the street make criminals more visible.

Outdoor security camera assistance program

Read the policy to make sure you meet all the requirements.

We are willing to help with our outdoor security camera assistance program. This program aims to reimburse people who have bought a new security camera system.

New installations may be reimbursed up to $150.

If you install additional camera(s) to a location with existing cameras, you may be eligible for reimbursement to a maximum of $200.

If you were not provided with an installation report by the company you purchased your cameras from, or you installed your system yourself, please provide photos of the cameras installed on your property.

Eyes That Care

The program encourages you to get to know your neighbours because, if you know your neighbours you care for your neighbours, and they care about you. This program promotes getting to know each other so you can look out for each other. Like letting them know if you notice they left their vehicle door open at night.

To help you get started on thinking of ways to improve the safety of your house, the City of North Battleford will provide you with one free solar-powered motion detection light.
