UPDATE: Thanks to generosity of community members, donations and supplies now at capacity for wildfire evacuees
The request for donations issued on June 5th was met with an overwhelming response from community members, organizations and groups. Presently, donation requests for supplies for evacuees are being put on hold as the donation centre is at capacity. Thank you to all who provided these donations in support of these efforts and should the need arise for additional items, a public communication will be issued.
The Battlefords Healthcare Foundation is continuing to accept donations in support of the creation of trauma and comfort kits for evacuees as part of the Healing Together campaign. Those interested in making a donation to this campaign may contact the Foundation at 306-446-6652 or by visiting the Foundation during regular business hours.
Those wishing to provide a financial contribution may donate to the Canadian Red Cross. Dollars donated in Saskatchewan will remain in the province, with the federal government matching each contribution.
