“Toys for Tickets” initiative launches in North Battleford to give back this holiday season

Parking tickets near the holidays can certainly feel like you’re being handed a lump of coal in your stocking… but the City of North Battleford is giving recipients of these tickets an opportunity to pay it forward this Christmas.

From November 29 to December 20, 2023, anyone who’s issued a parking ticket by Community Safety Officers may pay their bylaw ticket by purchasing a new toy not less than the parking ticket’s value – early payment discounts still apply. Unwrapped toys can be dropped off to staff at City Hall and must include the purchase receipt. No toy weapons will be accepted.
Santa’s elves will load up the sleigh with the donations received and deliver these gifts to the Battlefords Interval House to be included in their Christmas hamper campaign.

The City of North Battleford looks forward to supporting Battlefords Interval House with this Toys for Tickets initiative, and encourages this payment method as a way to make the holiday season a bit more joyous for others.
