Structure fire and vehicle collision headline busy evening for NBFD
Two back-to-back incidents kept the North Battleford Fire Department busy early last evening. Firefighters were dispatched to a garage fire in the 1300 block of 106th Street at 5:18pm. Less than 15 minutes later, additional personnel were sent to a two-vehicle collision.
The fire was contained to the garage on the property, and the department’s rapid response prevented damage to the residence. The garage sustained smoke and water damage. No occupants or first responders were injured, and the cause remains undetermined.
Crews were redeployed to Bauers Drive and 19th Avenue at 5:32pm for the motor vehicle crash. One person sustained injuries of undetermined severity and was taken to hospital for treatment. Battlefords RCMP and WPD Ambulance attended to the scene of the accident with the NBFD.
