Statement from Mayors of Battleford, North Battleford

The following is a joint statement from Mayor Ames Leslie, Town of Battleford, and Mayor Kelli Hawtin, City of North Battleford, in response to the recent advisories issued by Battlefords RCMP and the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA):

We have been advised of the recent updates and advisories shared with the public by Battlefords RCMP and the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

As these agencies proceed with their respective investigations, we offer our full support for their ongoing efforts. To help safeguard our communities, we strongly encourage everyone to follow the precautionary advisories issued by these organizations. By doing so, we can work together to reduce any potential risks and prioritize the wellbeing of all community members across the Battlefords.

Additional updates for the public can be expected from the RCMP and/or SHA. As this matter is still under investigation, there will be no further comments from either the Town of Battleford or the City of North Battleford.
