Pack the Patrol Unit event yields huge donations for Battlefords Humane Society

The annual Pack the Patrol Unit event, led by North Battleford Community Safety Officers (CSOs), brings essential supplies to the Battlefords Humane Society. This year’s event, held December 5th, was no different – with totals eclipsing last year’s donation amounts.

“We were fortunate to have great participation from the business community at four different locations this year,” commented CSO Unit Commander Jerry Koliniak. “In total, we received more than 3000 pounds of food and supplies, and $1500 in financial donations. We are so grateful to all who took part in this worthwhile cause.”

The donations were accepted at Walmart, No Frills, PetValu, and Canadian Tire by CSOs and volunteers with Citizens on Patrol and the Battlefords Humane Society. There were also special guest appearances – and some added donation persuasion – from some of the adoptable dogs at the Humane Society.

Community Safety Officers have earmarked Friday, December 4th, 2026 for the next Pack the Patrol Unit event.
