Controlled Wood‑Burn at the Waste Management Facility

The City will conduct a small, controlled wood‑burn at the Waste Management Facility on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Two clean wood piles will be burned to eliminate excess debris and enhance site safety; the burn is expected to be completed within a few days.

• Permit: Approved by the North Battleford Fire Department.
• Oversight: Trained staff will supervise the operation.
• Health & Safety: The burn will be brief, closely monitored, and poses no health risk to the public. 

Public Advisory
If you see or smell smoke from the Waste Management Facility off Wearing Road, there is no cause for concern. This is a routine, permitted activity intended to manage wood debris safely.
