Controlled burn underway at City Waste Management Facility

The City of North Battleford is advising the public of a controlled burn underway this week at the City’s Waste Management Facility.         

Staff will oversee the burn of the clean wood piles at the landfill. It is anticipated this will take most of the week.      

Should citizens see or smell smoke coming from the landfill site off Wearing Road, it is not a cause for concern and the controlled burn has been done with notification and permits from the appropriate authorities.
