Following the horrific events over the weekend at a Vancouver street festival celebrating Lapu-Lapu Day, the City of North Battleford extends its condolences to all impacted. "My deepest sympathy goes out to the Filipino-Canadian community," commented City of North Battleford Mayor Kelli Hawtin. "The senseless tragedy in Vancouver is nothing short of heart breaking and my heart goes out to family and friends affected by these losses."
