City of North Battleford issues statement in support of Filipino community
Following the horrific events over the weekend at a Vancouver street festival celebrating Lapu-Lapu Day, the City of North Battleford extends its condolences to all impacted. The City of North Battleford has a large Filipino population and recognizes the traumatic impact events like these can have on a close-knit community.
"My deepest sympathy goes out to the Filipino-Canadian community," commented City of North Battleford Mayor Kelli Hawtin. "The senseless tragedy in Vancouver is nothing short of heart breaking and my heart goes out to family and friends affected by these losses."
