City of North Battleford facilities will be some of the host venues for 2026 Tony Cote Summer Games
Two City of North Battleford recreational facilities, Centennial Park and the Battle River Archers Outdoor Range at King Hill, will serve as host venues as part of the 2026 Tony Cote Summer Games.
The Games were formally awarded to Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs (BATC) on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, September 30th. The 2026 Games are fittingly tied in with the 150th Anniversary of the signing of Treaty 6.
“We are very excited to be one of the host communities for the 2026 Tony Cote Summer Games,” said North Battleford Mayor Kelli Hawtin.
“We look forward to welcoming athletes to our city, to showcase our recreational facilities and community hospitality. Hosting an event of this scale is a significant undertaking for BATC and will require the support of our entire community — volunteers, sponsors and local businesses. Events like these bring substantial economic benefits, and we’re thrilled to highlight everything the City of North Battleford and The Battlefords region has to offer to athletes, families and visitors alike. Thank you to BATC for their willingness to host the 2026 Tony Cote Summer Games!”
Hundreds of athletes in three age categories (13U, 15U, and 17U) will compete in archery, canoe, golf, soccer, softball, beach volleyball, and athletics.
