What: An event honouring local residential school survivors ahead of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, including plaque unveiling and quilt presentations on behalf of Quilts for Survivors.
When: Monday, September 22nd, 2025 - 11:00am
Where: Central Park, North Battleford (1392-101st Street)

The formal portion of this ceremony will be led in part by Alvin Baptiste, will feature a drumming group led by John Berland, a renowned drummer and traditional dancer who now resides in Sweetgrass First Nation, and includes a performance by traditional flute player Jason Chamakese of Pelican Lake First Nation. Further details, featured guests, and community partners to be finalized in the coming days.
