Water main break causes large sinkhole on 16th Avenue

The City of North Battleford’s Department of Operations is advising the travelling public and pedestrians of a potential hazard on 16th Avenue, adjacent to École Monseigneur Blaise Morand (EMBM).

A large sinkhole has formed on the north side of 16th Avenue following a water main break overnight. This sinkhole is well marked with multiple barricades and reflective cones, and will also be well-lit by nightfall. The road remains open at this time, and no sidewalks are impacted.

In the interest of your personal safety, do not breach the perimeter that is formed by barricades. Staff will be on site on Thursday, May 11, to perform repairs. Please exercise caution when travelling near this area.

The City of North Battleford thanks you for your cooperation.
