Road and sidewalk work beginning today on 12th Ave & 102nd Street

Downtown revitalization work continues ahead of summer today with the installation of a new sidewalk on 12th Avenue east of 102nd Street.

The City of North Battleford has closed 12th Avenue from 102nd Street, east to the lane behind Innovation Credit Union and the Kramer Building. The lane behind Innovation Credit Union will remain open during construction. This is to allow for the demolition of the old sidewalk and the installation of a new sidewalk. The City anticipates this project will take three weeks to complete.

While this area is under construction, the front door of the Innovation Credit Union Building on 102nd Street will remain accessible for clients. The front door of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture building on 12th Avenue will be closed May 9 and May 10 for sidewalk removal and will be closed for another three days for pouring of new sidewalks.

During this time, new curbs, gutters, and paving stones will also be installed.

The City of North Battleford thanks impacted businesses for their cooperation and patience, and apologizes for any delays that this may cause for pedestrians and drivers.
