Cat and Dog

All dogs and cats owned within the City of North Battleford must be licensed and wearing a tag issued by the City. By licensing your dog or cat, Municipal Enforcement Officers will make every effort to reunite you with your pet if it should stray.

Failure to obtain a license is an offence under the Animal Protection Bylaw (No. 1888) and registration after January 31st of each year will lead to additional fees.

Pet License Fees

  • For each unsterilized dog and cat: $60
  • For each sterilized dog and cat: $20
  • Duplicate tag replacement: $5
  • Late registration (additional fee per animal): $20
  • Dangerous dog: $1250
  • Exotic animal: $250

There are penalties for offences relating to pet ownership. Please see Schedule "D" of The Animal Protection Bylaw (No. 1888).

Dog Park

There is a Dog Park located on the East side of the City, just off Airport Road near Cameron McIntosh Airport. This is the only off-leash area available. Click here to download the Dog Park Area map.
