The City of North Battleford was pleased to host an official investiture ceremony on Monday evening to honour the extraordinary contributions of 13 North Battleford residents with Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medals.
“I am humbled by the achievements, dedication, and community spirit of our nominated recipients,” commented Mayor David Gillan. “The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal has been bestowed upon by very few, and we are proud to honour the contributions of those who have given so much to our community.”
Recipients of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medals as awarded by the City of North Battleford were:
- Kate Abrahamson – honoured for contributions to volunteerism
- Kerilyn Voigt – honoured for contributions to healthcare
- Navdip Garcha – honoured for contributions to law enforcement
- Jane Zielke de Montbrun – honoured for contributions to healthcare
- Alvin Baptiste – honoured for contributions to reconciliation
- Guillaume Lavoie – honoured for contributions to law enforcement
- Pat Gotto – honoured for contributions to volunteerism
- Chief Lindsay Holm – honoured for contributions to protective services
- Melanie Roberts – honoured for contributions to education
- Amber Stewart – honoured for contributions to volunteerism
- Donald Meriam – honoured for contributions to philanthropy
- Rosemarie Stadnyk – honoured for contributions to the arts
- Sherron Burns – honoured for contributions to reconciliation
