City increases number of "Cool Down Locations" as heat warning is issued for region
A number of facilities are open to assist the public as temperatures are on the rise.

With a heat warning issued by Environment Canada, the City of North Battleford has added increased access to cooler locations for the public.
The City following locations have been added today, July 28, 2022:
Several agencies, including Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre, the North Battleford Library, and the Battlefords & Area District Food & Resource Centre have joined the City for the summer to accommodate people looking for an escape from the heat this summer. These typical locations are listed in the attached PDF resource below, and are also available for the public's use. The Don Ross Centre (891-99th Street) - open until 7pm - access to the gymnasium, which includes drinking water & washroom facilities
The Allen Sapp Gallery (1 Railway Avenue) - open 11am-5pm - access to the main floor only, with washroom facilities and drinking water - air conditioned
The NationsWest Field House (623 Carlton Trail #3) - open until 9pm with free access to main lobby area - the use of the rest of the facility is also available, but regular usage rates apply
City splash parks are open until 7pm
