City of North Battleford - Saskatchewan
Special Council Meeting for Provincial Disaster Assistance Program Application Discussion
Updates will be provided on
June 21st 2022

On June 13th, the City of North Battleford experienced a 1 in a 100-year rainstorm over a six-hour span. The amount of rain and a short amount of time caused localized flooding throughout the City.

The City of North Battleford will hold a Special Council meeting, via Zoom on Wednesday, June 22, to discuss the possibility of the City making an application to request the designation as an eligible assistance area under the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP). PDAP provides assistance for uninsurable losses of essential goods to help people get back to pre-disaster conditions.

The City of North Battleford will provide an update to residents on if the City proceeds with a PDAD application.

For Residents

  • Contact your insurance provider for coverage

  • Keep detailed records of damage, work completed – receipts and photos

  • PDAP is not a substitute for private insurance

  • PDAP does not provide full compensation for losses
