The City of North Battleford once again found creative ways to help residents stay cool this summer.
In response to last week’s heat wave, North Battleford firefighters set up two pop-up splash parks using one of their ladder trucks. The first took place on Wednesday at the Connaught Elementary School and the second took place on Friday at the Bready Elementary School. People of all ages took the opportunity to escape the heat, and even the firefighters themselves joined in on the fun.
The City is thrilled the idea made such a splash and is exploring setting up more pop-up splash parks before the end of the summer, weather permitting. Follow our Facebook (cityofnb) and Twitter(@cityofnb) pages for up-to-date announcements.
The parks are set up without any reduction to the emergency response capacities of the City.
