On the night of May 11th, 2021 during the City’s Annual Unidirectional Flushing Program, the City experienced a technical problem that was indirectly related to our flushing activities. This problem resulted in several water main breaks in the Riverview neighbourhood. City workers and local contractors are busy repairing the breaks and are diligently working to return regular water services as soon as possible.
For a map of the area of the 2021 unidirectional flushing program, tips for residents to prepare for the flushing as well as a FAQ please visit https://www.cityofnb.ca/resident_services/undirectional_flushing.html
Please watch for “WATER MAIN FLUSHING” signs present on your block indicate that you will be affected by unidirectional flushing that night. You can continue with normal water use until 7:00 pm that evening. In some cases, water main flushing of a block may take a few nights. In these cases, residents may use the water as normal from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
