100th Street 11th to 12th Avenue and 12th Avenue 99th to 100th Street
Underground utility work is planned to begin July 2nd and will proceed for approximately three weeks, with roadway reconstruction work to follow. The 1100 block of 100th Street will be closed to traffic, but pedestrian access to businesses will remain open from the back alley. Roadway reconstruction is expected to be completed by September 13th. Water service disruptions are expected on the 1100 block of 100th Street while the underground pipe work proceeds. Businesses will be notified prior to service disruptions and affected addresses will be on a drinking water advisory. Downtown businesses will remain open with alternate access in place. Visitors to downtown businesses are encouraged to plan their trips ahead and to leave a little extra time to find parking. Motorists using 100th Street and Railway Avenue as a route through the city are encouraged to use Territorial Drive as an alternate route to get around the city and to avoid traffic congestion downtown while the work is underway. Underground work will be performed by Unicon Pipeline, and Roadways by K&S Asphalt.
King Street Station Parking Lot
Parking Lot construction is progressing as planned with completion expected July 12th. Some disruptions to areas immediately adjacent to the parking lot are expected, but no service disruptions or prolonged road closures are expected. The completion date has been delayed as a result of the recent wet weather. Parking Lot construction work will be performed by K&S Asphalt.
Airport Runway Rehabilitation
Resurfacing of runway 12-30 is underway and is expected to be complete by July 5th. The airport will be closed while the work proceeds. Runway resurfacing work will be performed by K&S Asphalt.
113th Street South of 13th Avenue
Underground Utility work is complete, and road restoration is underway. Road closures will be in effect, and access to affected addresses will be disrupted while the work proceeds. Roadway restoration is expected to be completed by July 5th. Underground work will be performed by Unicon Pipeline, and Roadways by K&S Asphalt.
Foley Drive Rehabilitation
Underground utility work is complete and roadway rehabilitation is planned to begin July 8th and is expected to be complete by July 28th. Underground utility work was performed by city crews, and roadway work will be performed by K&S Asphalt.
Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Sewer Lining
Crews are working on preliminary inspections at various locations around the City and will be returning in August to install liners. Affected addresses will be notified prior to the work happening in their area. CIPP Sewer Lining work is being performed by Insituform Technologies.
