Centennial Park

Centennial Park is a 90 acre park in the centre of the City, located at 18th Avenue and 104th Street. The Access Communications Centre is located in the park which also features large open space, a track, splash pad, ball diamonds, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, a skateboard park, and lawn bowling.

Tennis Courts

There are three tennis courts in Centennial Park which are available for public use, free of charge, from April through October, weather permitting.

Beaver Lions Baseball Stadium

One of the best in Saskatchewan, Beaver Lions Baseball Stadium has seating for 1000 spectators and is a full senior baseball diamond complete with lights, grass infield, electronic scoreboard, concession and an irrigated outfield. It is the home of the North Battleford Beavers Intermediate, Junior and Midget baseball teams. In the fall the Stadium is converted to a full sized football field that is utilized by the North Battleford Comprehensive High School Vikings as well as the local touch football teams.

Lions Ball Diamonds

These four diamonds are on the north side of the Access Communications Centre. One diamond is full sized while the others vary from bantam to pee wee size. The diamonds all have shale infields, covered dugouts, irrigated outfields and are completely fenced. Washrooms are available adjacent to the diamonds.

Slo Pitch Diamonds

These are two slo-pitch diamonds located off Pearson Avenue at the east end of Centennial Park.

Track and Field

Centennial Park has a 400 metre track as well as jump pits, a pole vault area, high jump area and a throwing cage. There is an electric hookup adjacent to the track which is next to a hill which serves as an excellent spot for spectators. Washroom and concession facilities are available.

Skateboard Park

The Skateboard Park is located next to the Access Communications Centre.

Soccer Pitches

Centennial Park has 3 full size irrigated soccer pitches which offer an excellent playing surface. The pitches are utilized by the local minor soccer association as well as adult soccer leagues.


This playground is located just north of Beaver Lions Stadium. It features a complete set of play apparatuses and a playground shelter. The City operates a playground program in July and August, which is free of charge to all users.

Centennial Park Activity Centre

Located at 1841-106th Street this facility serves as a clubhouse for the horseshoe and lawn bowling clubs from May to September. During the winter season the facility is available for small group meetings and workshops. It can accommodate approx. 20-25 people.

Walking and Ski Trails

The City has developed a system of waking trails throughout Centennial Park -- covered with crusher dust and suitable for walking, jogging or cycling. In the winter, the City grooms approximately 1.8 kilometres of trails for cross country and skate skiing.

Kinsmen Park

18th Avenue between 92nd Street and 96th Street

Kinsmen Park has ball diamonds, a playground and lots of open green space.  The playground has a handicap accessible play structure, swings and a splash pad. This playground is supervised during July and August.

Holy Family Park

19th Avenue between 95th Street and Walker Drive

This open space park is connected to the grounds of Holy Family School and does feature some playground equipment. Minor soccer teams utilize the park and, in the winter, the City grooms a short cross country ski track.

Fairview Park

Fairview Heights Park is at 202 Clements Drive.

This park has a full sized soccer pitch, playground and outdoor rink in the winter. This is among the supervised parks the City offers in July and August.

Greenspace Parks

Central Park at 13th Avenue and 101st Street surrounds the North Battleford Library and features mature elm and ash trees, making it a favourite summer spot to relax.

H.D. McPhail Park is located at 13th Avenue and 100th Street and is where the City of North Battleford Cenotaph is located. The park is named after H. (Howdy) D. McPhail, a WWII bomber pilot. The park is also home to the City’s Geodetic Survey of Canada pin.

Peace Park is at 13th Avenue and 112th Street and has enough open space to throw a ball around or just relax on the grass. The park has a memorial with a sundial -- dedicated to WWII Veterans who made their homes in this area of North Battleford.

College Heights Park is at St. Laurent Drive and Thompson Crescent, on the northeast side of North Battleford. The park has some playground equipment and enough space for children to run and play.

Confederation Park is also located on the north side of the City – between Gardiner Drive and Clark Drive. The park has plenty of open space and some playground equipment.

Senator Herb Sparrow Park is located behind the Boys and Girls Club of the Battlefords, at 13th Avenue and 104th Street.

Kildeer Park is located along Kildeer Drive in the northwest area of the City. The park has a playground, ample greenspace and a small outdoor rink during the winter.

Riverview Park at 99th Street and 7th Avenue offers a  scenic view of the Battlefords River Valley. There is plenty of open space and some playground equipment.
