The planning committee is made up of all members of council, chaired by the respective deputy mayor.
Senior managers in the administration department are expected to attend.
The planning committee's goal is to devote sufficient time to discuss issues and to complete long-term planning in preparation for recommendations to council for open debate and resolution.
Matters relative to the operations of the administration, finance, human resources, risk management, leisure services, operations, maintenance and transportation, planning and development, building and licensing, utility services and protection and safety services would be reviewed at this committee level.
The Committee meets the third Monday of each month, excluding July and August, at 5:15 pm, in Council Chambers at City Hall. The meetings are open to the public.

Community Grants Adjudication Committee
The mission statement for this committee is to engage the community and its youth in an advisement role to enhance leisure service opportunities in the City of North Battleford. It also reviews applications and allocates funds under the Sask Lotteries grant program.
