Ref # ENG001 - Engineering Technologist - Full-Time - CUPE

The City of North Battleford has an Engineering Technologist position available in the Operations Division. The Engineering Technologist's primary responsibility is to provide drafting to build and update utility and roadways mapping, general drafting, integration of contractor drawings into mapping inventories, field asset verification and surveying, maintaining and compiling operations asset management inventories. This position will occasionally team up with utility contractors and collaborate with the Planning and Development Department to ensure that developments and projects meet City requirements. Additionally, this role may complete approvals and inspections of municipal services for site plan developments, site alterations, and utility and planning permits. Duties also include traffic counts and preparing technical studies related to transportation planning. Duties will also include coordination of various City public works programs. Providing exceptional customer services to residents and responding to their inquiries is integral.

The City of North Battleford has a Finance Clerk III (Tax Clerk) position available in the Finance Department. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Clerk III responsibilities are to handle citizen's tax requests and inquiries as they come to City Hall or over the phone. There is a high level of customer service and professionalism required in these roles due to the sensitivity of some of the information being processed. This position will be responsible for receiving tax payments by mail, reviewing, verifying payments and issuing receipts when required.

The City of North Battleford has Facility Attendant position available at the Battlefords CO-OP Aquatic Centre and Nations West Fieldhouse. This position is under supervision of the CUplex Manager and under the general direction of the Director of Parks and Recreation.

This role is responsible for enforcing regulations and policies at the facility and assisting with the preparation of facility and equipment for rentals, special events, and programming. This role participates in maintaining and monitoring the safe usage of the waterslide at the aquatic center and ensuring patrons are practicing safe procedures. Routine janitorial duties and maintenance of the facility equipment are integral to keeping a safe environment and should be carried out to a high standard. Monitoring and assisting patrons with equipment to ensure safety regulations are met. The Facility Attendants should have the ability to respond to emergency situations and maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
