Single Stream Recycling
Loraas Environmental Services has introduced the City of North Battleford to Single Stream Recycling. There is no need to sort most of your recycling and most everything (except glass and compost) can be put into one bin including:
Cardboard, newspaper, junk mail, office paper, household plastic containers (1 through 7) and bottles, plastic grocery bags, juice cartons, tetra-pak containers, milk jugs and cartons, tin cans, plastic soft drink and water bottles, aluminum soft drink and berr cans, empty cereal and detergent boxes, paper towel and tissue cores, gift and packing paper, paper bags, envelopes.
*Compost and glass must be separated and dropped off at the depots*

Household Recyclable Pick-Up
For $8.00 per month, Loraas Environmental Services is offering residents curbside pickup every two weeks. A large capacity cart (95 gallons) is supplied – no bagging, no separating, easy to clean and easy to roll.
Not accepted at curbside:
- Glass (only accepted at drop-off depots)
- Compost (only accepted at drop-off depots)
- Waxed, plasticized or food contaminated paper, cardboard, cups or plastic plates
- Soiled tissues, napkins or paper towels
- Confetti shredded paper
- Heavily dyed or coloured construction paper
- Styrofoam or other foam packing materials
- Household garbage, organics, hazardous or regulated waste
