Back Alley Pickup
One three cubic yard, metal side load bin is provided in several alleys to provide coverage for a maximum of six houses per bin. Bins are emptied weekly.
Front Street Pickup
Recently, the City of North Battleford has been running pilot projects to determine the feasibility of roll-out garbage bins in various neighbourhoods. Homes without access to rear lanes already utilize the bins which are emptied once a week.
Only regular household garbage is permitted in the metal bins and rollout bins. DO NOT put trees, lumber, furniture, appliances, tires or any large household items in or around the bins.
Waste Management Facility
The Waste Management Facility is located east of Territorial Drive on Wearing Road. The Facility is open Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sundays and Statuatory Holidays.
Hours
- May 1st to October 31st from 8:00am until 7:00pm
- November 1st to April 30th from 8:00am until 6:00pm

Compost
Five drop off points are set up every spring for the collection of compostable materials:
- 12th Avenue & 97th Street
- 8th Avenue & 99th Street (parking lot)
- Ross Crescent & Clements Drive
- 942-107th Street
- 104 Street south of 19th Avenue (parking lot)
Acceptable materials:
- Grass clippings and tree leaves
- Garden waste such as plant tops, vines, and vegetables
Unacceptable materials:
- Twigs and branches
- Plastic garbage bags
- Household garbage
Materials collected are utilized at the Waste Management Facility.
