Voter Identification 

Voters must now provide identification (registration requirements changed in 2012) as proof of identity and residency to be eligible to vote. Open the PDF below to see what identification is required.

Voter Qualifications

A person is qualified to vote in a municipal election if that person:

a) a Canadian citizen on Election Day; and

b) is at least eighteen (18) years of age on Election Day;

c) has resided in the City of North Battleford for at least three (3) consecutive months immediately preceding the day of the election; and

d) has resided in Saskatchewan for at least six (6) consecutive months immediately preceding the day of the election.


The residence of a person is the place where that person normally resides.  A person who is temporarily absent from the place where he or she normally resides does not lose his or her residence.  If a person has more than one home in the Province, that person must choose one as his or her residence.
